Dental and other health care providers, health system professionals, community members, advocates, and more are invited to participate.

ADA CERP Continuing Education credits (CEs) will be available to participants.

 

This continuing education activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the standards of the ADA Continuing Education Recognition Program (ACA CERP) through joint efforts between the host organization and the National Network for Oral Health Access.

Implementing Evidence-based Behavioral Skills in
Pediatric Oral Healthcare Providers

This informational webinar will provide an overview of the recent Dental Child Interaction Training (DCIT) study from the University of Florida College of Dentistry. The DCIT study and training developed by UF aims to improve interactions between dental providers, young children, and their parents/caregivers. Daniel W. McNeil, PhD, Cheryl B. McNeil, PhD, and Mary Lynne Davis, CRDH will review the structure and goals of the DCIT training workshop and share opportunities for dental providers to receive the full training. 

 Comprehensive Skills for Oral Health Integration

Fluoride: Guidelines for Effective Communication 
and Professional Recommendations

Despite Florida's recent decision to ban community water fluoridation, fluoride has a long and proven history of enhancing oral health. Oral health providers now face the unique challenge of promoting and utilizing fluoride in this new environment. This webinar will feature national experts Dr. Scott Tomar, DMD, and Dr. Mark Moss, DDS, PhD. They will discuss the role and safety of fluoride products and provide guidance for dental care providers on how to discuss fluoride with their patients.
