Tell us about your role at your organization? Your role at FVH?
I am the board chair and ensure that the board is effective in its task of governance. I also work with the Executive Director to ensure all programmatic and fiduciary responsibilities are being met.
How did you get into work with Florida Voices for Health?
My passion for health care advocacy has led my involvement in the fight for more than 15 years.
How do you feel your own personal values align with the mission, vision, and values of FVH?
Belief in the value of human life and that all people deserve to see a doctor if they need to.
In your opinion, what do you think is the biggest challenge in healthcare today?
Getting policymakers to put aside politics and take care of their constituents.
Can you name a person who has had a tremendous impact on you?
My mother who has always believed that good will prevail, even when it seems impossible.
What do you enjoy in your favorite breakfast that you make at home?
My favorite breakfast is a kale shake with berries, dates and bananas.
What is one piece of advice for someone wanting to pursue a career in Public Health / non-profit sector?
