The Value of Health and Health Insurance!

My father was diagnosed with lupus, a chronic inflammatory disease that occurs when your body's immune system attacks your own tissues and organs in his early twenties. Since he was a disabled veteran, his medical costs were covered which taught me at a young age the value of health and health insurance. Although lupus affected my father's health and quality of life, it did not diminish his role as father, as we developed a strong father-son bond. My father's experience taught me to be compassionate and an educator in lupus awareness.
